Show: The Afia Salam Show

Host: Afia Salam

Topic: Bhoja Air Crash and Climate Change

Description: We have a national habit of jumping to conclusions. Without waiting for inquiries and investigations, totally incompetent and irrelevant persons are seen passing judgments almost as a knee jerk reaction. We saw this at the time of the tragic Air Blue crash, and again in the case of the unfortunate Bhoja Air crash. But are we taking into account all the possible factors?
Afia Salam asks Dr. Pervaiz Amir if nature had anything to do with it.

Guest: Tofiq Pasha

Description: Tofiq Pasha Mooraj very humbly calls himself a maali, a mere gardner. But he is many persons rolled into one! A gardener he maybe, by inclination, but he is a water activist, an environmentalist, a teacher and a do-gooder! He invests a lot of his time in sensitizing young children to the environment so they can better take care if their world. Here him tell Afia Salam what else he feels passionately about.

What would it take for you to take matters into your own hands and stop environmental degradation?

Lines that speak!

Topic: Lines that speak!

Guest: Feica

Description: Some people have a way with words, some with a brush, and some with pen and ink. And when the pen is in Feica’s hands, it transports us to a world where political statements are made boldly, ‘holy cows’ are dealt with the irreverence they deserve. Faces we would like to take a poke at but can’t. He makes them leap out of the pages of newspapers in forms and shapes that really perceive them as.

Feica the artist, and Feica the cartoonist rolled into one have unfolded the political history over the past three decades or so, and his lines have traced the path of social commentary that provide us an alternative visual narrative. Come take a look.
